New Year, New Activities
Every New Years Eve, I get a little depressed. I think it has something to do with that whole midnight kiss thing–I look around me and see all these couples smooching away, and I can’t help but want that. Not that I didn’t get kissed–but the rather pretty lady who kissed me went around kissing at least three other guys that I saw. I guess she thought it was a good idea to make sure everyone got a midnight kiss. Anyway, so my goal this year is to meet new people. I’m not a fan of the online dating because I’ve read all these articles about how attraction works, and how phermones play into it. You can’t smell someone online, so I think I need to find someone in person. That being said, I need to get out and about to meet more people…which is why I have a list of activities I’m going to try at least twice. I figure you have to try everything twice because the first time external factors may affect whether you like it or not. I talked my married friends into taking ballroom dancing with me. I was told there are always single girls there looking for partners. Meanwhile, I’m taking a wine-tasting class this weekend, and joining the dreaded gym. I think I’m going to try yoga–I always see pretty girls with yoga mats, so that has to be a good sign, right? And if nothing comes of any of this–what the hell…being more flexible and knowing how to waltz can only add to my already impressive charms.
Meanwhile, don’t think I’ve given up people search–now more than ever, I’m going to need my people searching skills with all the new friends I’m bound to meet. I have a great new search people site for you guys. And a buddy at work sent me this hilarious link on euphemisms for the lower class. Yeah, we work pretty snazzy jobs, but I’m sure we’re no higher than middle class ourselves. Anyways, have a great one, dear readers! And wish me luck with the waltz!
